No. You can’ t. Caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and fifth wheelers require a 15A power lead, as opposed to the 10A extension leads you might use around your house. To charge your van’ s batteries at home, it might be tempting to simply snip the end off a 10A lead and replace it with a 15A plug for the van, or vice versa for plugging into a household
240V powerpoint, but you’ d be breaking the law and potentially putting yourself and others at risk. The good news is that there is an adaptor available, the Ampfibian, for when you need to plug your van into a standard 10A power socket.
