THE FRONT BOOT
SUNSHINE TURNS 10
The first branch of the
Australian Caravan Club ever
formed has celebrated its 10th
anniversary.
The Sunshine Nomads
marked the occasion during
its Christmas muster in Kirra,
Qld, in early December.
Sunshine Nomads branch
president Chris Forrest said
branch members were very
proud of their contributions
to the success of the ACC.
“Some members of our branch
were founding members
of the ACC,” he said.
ACC chairman Craig
Humphrey paid tribute to
the Sunshine Nomads.
“As the inaugural branch,
when the number of branch
members grew, the branch
would work to form a new
branch to accommodate the
growing size of the ACC,” he
said. “Several of our club’s
south-east Queensland
branches are a consequence
of the work of the ACC
Sunshine Nomads.
“Over the past decade, many
ACC Sunshine Nomads have
made valuable contributions
to our club, have served
as directors on the club’s
board, and have been a
driving force in membership
recruitment, policy, and club
administration.”
The ACC was founded in 2006
at the Golden Beach Caravan
Park at Caloundra (Qld).
