SEAT COLOURS
Once you’ve moved past the fabric choice,
you can start considering colours. It’s easiest
to think about your favourite colours. Without
labouring the choice, go with your first
selection and browse through the options.
Once you’ve narrowed the selection, have a
look through the Laminex folder that the RV
dealer will no-doubt have, as you may find
a base colour with a fleck of your favourite
colour through it for bench and tabletops.
For benchtops, pick a patterned finish rather
than a flat colour, as it won’t show dirt or dust
as much. And contrary to popular belief, dark
colours show the dirt more than lighter colours.
Do the test yourself and see what you think!
The action of choosing a colour gets the brain
in motion more than fixating on the problem
itself — you’ll find yourself navigating towards
the right colours sooner than you think.
Try to keep your base colour scheme neutral
rather than ‘loud’. For pops of colour, add a
bright cushion or doona cover. Neutral colour
schemes always look classy and will pay for
themselves at resale time, thanks to their
broader appeal.
It’s amazing how colours come together.
One of our customers picked apple green for
the seating, complemented with a lovely grey/
green print on a white doona cover, and a few
green throw cushions. The van looked fresh
and inviting.
