BUYING A NEW VAN?
GREAT!
THIS EVALUATION AND
COMPARISON CHECKLIST
MAY HELP YOU IN
YOUR SEARCH.
It’s time. The urge to buy a new van has
become too strong to ignore. You have a
budget and the finance is sorted. What a
wonderful feeling.
But… wait. The last thing you want is to be
pushed into buying the wrong van, one that
makes the manufacturer more money and
leaves you wondering what the heck happened.
Don’t get us wrong: there are lots of terrific
sales staff in this industry with a genuine
interest in helping their customers find the
best van for them.
Remember: it’s your money. Don’t allow
anyone to pressure you. Don’t be afraid to
walk away.
And why not bring someone who will help
you stay level-headed, someone who has no
emotional investment in the process and who
will whisper in your ear if something seems
too good to be true?
Buying a new van is rewarding and, if you get it
right, it’ll bring you years of priceless memories.
However, it is important to approach your
purchase in a hard-headed manner. You’ve
heard the advice before. Do your research.
Go to the RV shows. Ask lots of questions. Ad
nauseam. So instead, we’re giving you this
checklist, devised by the Caravan Council of
Australia, to help you evaluate and compare
various makes and models of RV, with the aim
of ensuring you end up with the right rig for you.
