KEDRON CARRIES ON
Kedron Caravans has implemented a raft
of measures in its Queensland factory
aimed at preventing the spread of the
virus, including ‘toolbox talks’ with staff
to emphasise the need for social
distancing on the production line, and
even temperature checks.
“Being a near 60-year family business,
Dad over the decades has always
mentored regards being prepared for
business disruption,” Kedron’s Glen Gall
told GoRV. “This, together with holding
substantial build stock, has maintained
our ability to offer stability.”

He said the closure of state borders
made “quite an impact” on the business.
“Having a majority of interstate orders,
this prevented new owners entering
Queensland for delivery,” Glen said. “That
said, it’s been a major win in terms of
‘flattening the curve’ of community
infection, so no complaints here.”

As a result, and in consultation with its
interstate customers, Kedron prioritised
completing orders for Queensland
customers. When the borders reopen,
interstate orders will return to Kedron’s
production line as previously structured.
“We have also utilised this time to
develop some new products and models,
with a new-release ‘Compact’ that will
be 17ft on the body, with an ATM up to
3000kg,” Glen said.
Kedron is one of Australia's best-known
manufacturers of offroad caravans.
