DIY DREAMS BY MAX TAYLOR
Most of us have , I reckon , carried out some small modifications to our vans – the clever little things that make life on the road easier and more enjoyable .
I ’ ve seen some ripper mods over the years , too . One of my favourites involved a home-made clothesline that folded up and stored away inside the hollow rear bumper . Another mod that I think works well is rigging up a shade cloth on the offside of the van to aid the cooling of the fridge and otherwise moderate the temperature inside the van during hot weather .
Over the last few months , we ’ ve showcased readers ’ mods . I loved the homemade grey
water system featured last month .
But let ’ s keep it going – send me your caravan mods , no matter how big or small . You ’ ll not only have the chance to win a fantastic prize , you ’ ll be sharing your ideas with fellow vanners who might find them useful , too .
Email a brief description of your DIY modification and a good image or two ( around 1MB each ) to info @ gorv . com . au with RV Workshop in the subject line . Looking forward to hearing from you !
