VAN PARK TIPS How to ensure the best site possible
ESCAPING 2020 BY MAX TAYLOR
Merry Christmas , folks . After a year that was … difficult , to say the least , each of us deserves a long , relaxing holiday season .
I , for one , have been dreaming of hitching up my camper and heading to Victoria ’ s Ninety Mile Beach – my own personal slice of paradise – and getting my crab pot in the water . Long days on the sand followed by a roaring campfire and a beer or two , while the kids run around , eat toasted marshmallows off sticks , and generally fill the night with their laughter and excitement .
That sounds pretty great right about now .
It ’ s been a huge year for us at GoRV , despite the various challenges posed by 2020 , and 2021 is
shaping up to be even bigger . We have some exciting plans in store .
And this issue is , I think , one of our most important yet . As detailed on page 14 , caravanners Peter and Ann Greenwood had a brush with carbon monoxide poisoning – they are luck to be alive . The couple approached GoRV in order to issue a warning against using gas stoves to keep warm .
It ’ s common knowledge that this is a bad idea – but many vanners , I reckon , continue to do it , or have done it in the past .
Wherever you end up this festive season , stay safe , and we ’ ll see you next year .
