ROAD TRAIN PANIC
On our last trip up north , I was constantly in a panic when I saw those long train trucks . Generally , they are quite courteous but sometimes there are drivers who like to play with us grey nomads .
I must say , they probably think we ' re all alike . I remember seeing a grey nomad slow down as one of the long trains passed them . What were they thinking ? This sort of behaviour creates such a dangerous situation on the road for the rest of us .
No wonder long train drivers probably roll their eyes when they see the ‘ blue rinse ’ set on ‘ their ’ turf .

KEEP ON COMING
We live in rural Australia . It is fantastic to see so many people heading out of the city and going rural in their RV rather than overseas in the tin canary .
Keep on coming , people – we are loving the company and the business .
A question for the purists of RV travel : we still use our 1978 VW Kombi . Should we call it an RV now or is it still a Kombi ? I know my answer .

LOAD UP AND GO !
Travelling Australia is such a fantastic experience . Load up the van , fill-up with diesel , point the RV in any direction you fancy , and you are on the adventure of a lifetime .
Nothing puts a bigger smile on your face when you get to see this wonderful country from north to south and in between . Going to unfamiliar places and meeting people along the way is just a bonus .

UNRECOGNISED BUT RV-FRIENDLY
As more holidays are sought in our own backyard , searching for RV stops has highlighted that Google Maps needs an update where RV friendly towns are .
Many smaller towns have invested in recent years with dump points and the like to encourage RVs to explore their local areas . An example includes Port Clinton in South Australia , where the local Progress Association volunteers have worked towards supporting people to stay awhile .
Interestingly , the entire Yorke Peninsula is without a stop registered as RV-friendly when a Google search is made – something that needs to be rectified to support local tourism .
If this is the case for Yorke Peninsula , I ' m sure there are other areas across our beautiful nation that are also overlooked .
