Grace enjoys the historic streets of Echuca .
After having a lovely day in Echuca , going on the paddle steamers up the Murray , having a lovely lunch at the local and doing the usual sightseeing of the historic town , we learned that another covid outbreak was looming , with a potential lockdown of Victoria on the cards .
Unfortunately that came to fruition and we had to pack up and hit the road in a hurry to beat the 8pm curfew . This fact was hammered home by a police checkpoint on the outskirts of Echuca on the way back .
So our trip was cut short by a week , with only 24 hours away on the road , but what a memorable 24 hours it was . It was a little taste of freedom and gives me and Grace the appetite for more .
As soon as we possibly can , we are going to complete our trip up the Murray and make our ‘ trip of a lifetime ’ a reality . We made a start and we need to finish it .
Grace and mum check into the Echuca holiday park .
