GoRV contributor Marty Ledwich has a two-stage filter designed to remove particles and sediment , etc ., while the other is an activated charcoal filter to remove bad tastes , odours , chemicals , bacteria , etc .
His system hangs from his van ’ s chassis rail by two screws when parked ( it is removed for travelling ). He uses an ordinary irrigation particle filter to prevent larger debris from reaching the main filter . “ It ’ s probably overkill but I ’ m amazed by how much stuff it captures ,” he said .
