3CHURCHILL ISLAND

This 50.7-hectare island is connected by bridge to Phillip Island . It is home to a working farm , restored cottages built in the 1860s , and even a restored homestead that dates back to 1872 .
Adjoining the 670-hectare Churchill Island Marine National Park , Churchill Island offers a vast array of wildlife , from Cape Barren geese , purple swamp hens , and highland cattle , which you ’ ll spot grazing in the island ’ s many open paddocks .
During your visit , you can have a go at various farming activities , such as miking cows and shearing sheep , or take a waking track around the edge of the island to take in the incredible Westernport views .
Top of your Churchill Island visit with lunch and a coffee at the cafe , or bring your own food and enjoy a picnic in the dedicated picnic area .

RV TRAVEL
THE NOBBIES CENTRE
Overlooking Bass Strait , The Nobbies is one of my favourite places on Phillip Island . Located at Summerlands on the south-west tip of the island , The Nobbies is home to Australia ’ s largest colony of fur seals .
The dramatic series of rocks to the west is known as Seal Rocks . It is a seal breeding habitat . While there weren ’ t any seals present during my visit , if you ’ re lucky you ’ ll see them frolicking or lounging about on the rocky platform .
A boardwalk meanders through the vegetation , along the rugged coastline , towards the Blowhole , an impressive sea cave that creates huge waves during big southern swells . As you walk and explore , keep your eye out for little penguins nesting under the boardwalk .
A large and well setup information centre is onsite , too , complete with kiosk and bathroom facilities . I highly recommend a visit to this neck of the island .
