4. TOWABILITY
Hitched to a Mazda BT50
dual cab ute, the Condamine
650X was a pleasure to tow.
At all times, and on varying
terrain, including undulations
and some corrugations,
it remained well-planted
to the road. The Enduro
Outback suspension seems
like a good match for
this van.
5. INTERIOR
If this van’s exterior is like
a hard shell, then the inside
is the ‘soft’ centre. It is well
furnished, with full cooking
and refrigeration facilities, a
queen-size bed, comfortable
cafe-style dinette and more.
It is also one of the few split-

level interior layouts we have
seen. There is a step-up into
the bathroom and, no, it
doesn’t feel like a trip hazard;
rather, the height of the
step seems ‘natural’.
The bathroom is equipped
with a top-loading washing
machine, a separate shower,
vanity, and a cassette toilet
on the nearside. Personally,
I like my caravan toilets
on the offside as when it’s
time to empty it, the offside
is a little more discreet.
A personal hang-up, I know.
The interior of the
Condamine 650X is classy,
sophisticated and simply
feels like home.
