In our recent travels along the east coast of Australia , it became evident there were more and more caravans on the road . We met several young families loaded to the max towing shiny , new caravans , keen to maximise their holiday break as they explore this amazing country .

As they are new to the game , many had failed to book caravan parks and were on a mission to find that perfect waterfront free-camp somewhere , far away from the daily grind .

I could clearly envision these new , young families always travelling at the maximum legal speed and overtaking the experienced longterm caravanners who know the importance of conservative speeds when towing .
