HYBRID TOWING
I ’ m looking to change my VW 2L diesel Tiguan ( city car as well as holiday tow car ) for a more environmentally sustainable hybrid . The best I can see ( possibly ) is the Toyota RAV4 2021 / 22 AWD Cruiser 2.5L Hybrid . It is rated to tow 1500kg with a ball weight of 150kg , and has an overall fuel consumption ( not towing ) of 4.8L / 100km ( rated ). It also comes with a five-year warranty .
I ’ m interested to know what experience any readers have had pulling an Avan Cruiseliner ( or similar ) behind a hybrid , especially the RAV4 AWD ( or ‘ eFour ' as it ’ s sometimes known ).
Any experience / advice would be much appreciated .

CREDIT CARD SHOCK
We recently travelled from Victoria to the north coast of New South Wales . We travelled via the M7 , M2 and North Connect tunnel .
When we received our credit card statement , we were shocked to discover that we had been charged $ 66.93 for the one-way trip . Readers need to be aware that New South Wales charges a vehicle and caravan as a ‘ class B ’ vehicle and you pay the same as a B double truck .

CRUISER CONSIDERATION
Thanks for the tow test on the new 300 Series Land Cruiser last issue . I ’ m in the market for a new heavy-duty tow vehicle for my Roadstar caravan and am leaning towards the latest Cruiser .

Good luck , Dave . It seems Toyota has lived up to the reputation set by earlier models with the LC300 . – Ed
