RV OPINION
As far as the RV lifestyle goes , though , we don ’ t see masks being much of a factor . Often , life on the road in your caravan , motorhome or campervan means being in sparsely populated or more remote areas where a mask wouldn ’ t serve much of a purpose .
However , we still recommend keeping one handy at all times since you just never know when you ’ re going to need it .
Last , but definitely not least , we expect the RV lifestyle in a postcovid world to be a more fulfilling experience than ever . Covid has shown us that , as a nation , we love to travel , get out into nature and meet our fellow like-minded Aussies .
Having spent almost two years being deprived of some of the things we love the most , there is , without a doubt , a renewed sense of eagerness and appreciation for being able to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures in life . And that ’ s exactly what van-life gives us .
RETURNING TO NORMAL
It ’ s looking like old times out there , according to GoRV ’ s Lionel Mussell .
“ I arrived home in Victoria after a very uneventful trip down from Far North Queensland via the Northern Territory and Adelaide . No-one was checking the borders after the Northern Territory checkpoint near Camooweal and since then I ’ ve made it to Australian Caravan Club musters in Victoria ’ s Maryborough , Lakes Entrance and Seaspray on the Ninety Mile Beach .
Melbourne seems as busy as ever . I ’ ve seen lots of caravanners on Melbourne ’ s Western Freeway and it ’ s continuation as the Western Highway , particularly during the summer holiday period .”
