RV FEATURE
ENDURO X
If you ’ re not familiar with AL- KO ’ s all terrain suspension system , here ’ s the rundown . When it was launched last year , it replaced the Enduro Outback system , and among the key differences , the suspension arm underwent automotive design changes .
AL-KO engineers adopted a ‘ clamshell ’ arm structure comprised of two steel pressings welded together , finished in a special automative-grade ‘ eCoat ’ for rust and chip resistance .
Another key difference : the forged bolt-on stub axle , which can be swapped in the event of damage , without having to replace the entire suspension system .
With twin parallel shock absorbers for durability over demanding conditions , Enduro X offers a weight saving over the previous Outback system while retaining benefits such as toe and camber adjustment , maintenance free bushes and , in our experience in Dargo , it offers a controlled ride in gnarly terrain .
