RV FEATURE
Most caravan rear view cameras in popular use are hard-wired , with a cable running through the wall of the van and to the in-cab display screen via a connection at the A-frame . The RVview , however , does away with the cable . It is a completely wireless connection – brilliant .
WIRELESS BENEFITS
One of the key benefits offered by the high-definition RVview camera is that it ’ s relatively easy to retrofit as an aftermarket item , especially since you don ’ t need to worry about running a cable to the A- frame or through your vehicle . The camera , of course , requires a positive battery connection as well as an earth ; however , the in-cab display can be plugged directly into the vehicle ’ s cigarette socket . Being a wireless connection between the display screen and the 1080p HD colour camera , there ’ s also no need to run a cable to the back of the vehicle – a large saving in time and money . Further , the image quality of the full HD camera is much better than what you ’ ll find on a standard wired camera .
We had the opportunity to see the RVview setup in action for ourselves when we met up with customer Paul Weiss , who had it fitted to his Crusader van . Paul was rapt in the performance of the system and told us that he never experienced any signal degradation , latency or drop-out . In fact , the system has been designed to work over a distance of 50m , without any interference , thanks to the 24GHz operating frequency .
