RV FEATURE
STEALTH DEFLECTOR
We repeated the same trip three weeks later using the Stealth Deflector . Fitting the Stealth was a little more complicated as it required the use of two roof bars ( not included ) to accommodate the deflector and the special adjustment mechanism that allows the user to quickly and easily ‘ tune ’ the angle of the deflector according to their needs .
If , for example , you have a taller offroad caravan , the Stealth can be adjusted and fine-tuned to provide the correct wind deflection .
My experience towing my caravan with the Stealth attached was similar to when I had the AEROPlus fitted . I certainly noticed a stability improvement immediately – my rig simply felt more confident .
Arriving at Apollo Bay , I immediately re-fuelled my vehicle and noticed a 2.3L / 100km fuel saving compared to a previous trip without a deflector attached .
Gary Reid , the founder of Stealth , later informed me that by adjusting this deflector further , I might ’ ve achieved even better results – he says the air must ‘ flow ’ and not ‘ hit ’.
We then unhitched our caravan at a caravan park . Simply by removing four quick-release clamps , the Stealth deflector can be disengaged and folded flat on
The Stealth deflector can be ' fine-tuned ' to suit your needs and folded flat when not towing .
the top of the car , without the need to remove it or the rails . This is a winning feature for me .

SUMMING UP
While both wind deflectors provide similar fuel savings and towing experiences during my test , the Stealth deflector suits my needs best , thanks to its ability to be disengaged and folded down when not towing .
