FREEDOM CAMP OF THE MONTH
This campground , 25km west of Omeo , Vic , has a lot going for it .
Unlike the spectacular waterfalls in Africa , this Victoria Falls is known more as a historical area and the site of Victoria ' s first hydro-electricity scheme . Not much of the history remains . Instead , just pull up and enjoy the location !
When you stay here , you are in the foothills of Victoria ' s High Country . Near Cobungra Station , it is a short drive to beautiful Dinner Plain and Hotham , and up the mountain from historic Omeo .
You can also bring your pets . Setup camp at the top before you drive down to the creek . There are additional camping areas alongside the creek , past the bridge , barbecues and toilet at the pretty picnic area .
