RV FEATURE
CLASSY INTERIOR
In this van , JB Caravans had wisely opted for a tried and tested layout that maximised space for couples , placing heavy items such as the fridge over the axles , with lots of room left over for a large bedroom and bathroom .
I immediately noticed how spacious it was around the bed . There was plenty of room either side , not to mention a decent amount of storage under the bed base itself .
A cafe-style dinette was fitted to the mid-offside , with drawers providing access to the under-seat storage spaces , which I liked .
Food storage space was very impressive . Between the rear bathroom and the kitchen , JB Caravans had given the Dirt Roader a huge pantry comprised of three separate slide-out shelves .
In the nearside corner cupboard at the foot of the bed was a BMPRO BatteryPlus 35 battery management system and OdysseyLink .
And then there was the bathroom . It felt particularly spacious while being undeniably nicely finished off . The best part : JB Caravans had installed a large linen cupboard with three shelves in the offside corner .
The Dirt Roader had a meranti timber frame clad with ribbed aluminium sides , composite aluminium front and back , and black checkerplate . It rode on Al- Ko ’ s Cross Country 2.0 independent coil suspension system . It performed to all expectations on the various corrugations and mildly-scalloped tracks I ventured down around Dargo .
