SOMETHING TO CONSIDER
If you ’ re one of those caravanners who finds their battery system doesn ’ t seem to last very long when free camping , it may have something to do with all the USB rechargeable devices you ’ re using .
Think about it . If you recharge just one mobile phone , it will take around 2Ah out of your battery . That may not sound like much but if you have to recharge two phones , a tablet , a camera and a bug zapper each night , you could be taking at least 10Ah out of your battery . That ’ s 10 per cent of a 100Ah battery . These BEAM Outback solar panels may be a good way to take some of the pressure off your caravan ’ s battery system .
WHAT ’ S NEXT ?
We will be putting all three panels through a series of recharging situations to see just how useful they are to the average caravanner . We will use them to recharge a variety of devices around the campsite , in the car and while hiking . We will show you our results in an upcoming issue . Until then , safe travels .
MORE INFO You can use the BEAM Outback solar panels to
