He also discovered what he believes to be non-original 240V wiring here and there , including near a circle on the offside wall that he thinks may have been cut out for a fan ( hence the 240V wiring ). A 240V power point had also been added ( upside down ) to the fridge cavity .
Work has just begun on this Don Cadet , and there is plenty still to do . It ’ ll need new wheel spats , more filling and sanding on the body , a new lino floor , and much more . However , with the junk removed and work having begun , it is perhaps not as big a job as first thought .
When I saw this old rig for the first , it was a sad sight , but it is beginning to look like it just might have a future after all – thanks to Andrew Phillips and his love of Australia ’ s caravanning heritage .
