Here at GoRV , we ’ ve been focusing on gear and gadgets the last few months and we have plenty more to show you over the next few issues . Why ? Well , it ’ s the accessories – the bits and pieces – that can make all the difference between a hohum trip and something that ’ s truly memorable .

That said , it ’ s important to not go overboard . Weight , for one thing , is always a factor … but why waste your money on something that you might only use once ? We asked GoRV contributor Marty Ledwich , who is full-time on the road in his Roadstar , what his three favourite gadgets were … and what he came up with surprised us .

I would be hard-pressed to name my favourite accessory or gadget . I was using a bolt-on electric jockey wheel for a while that I really liked . The BMPRO ProSmart was pretty useful , too . The ZOLEO Global Satellite Communicator ? I honestly can ’ t choose – you might say I now have some sympathy for what Marty went through in trying to name his three favourites .

Ultimately , it ’ s about what works for your needs – so choose wisely . Meanwhile , we ’ ll keep showing them to you .
