Caravan Industry Victoria recognised excellence within the industry in early July during its prestigious annual Hall of Fame and Industry Awards gala event .

Held at Melbourne Crown Palladium , five industry members were inducted into the association ’ s Hall of Fame , while numerous other companies and employees were also honoured .

Caravan Industry Victoria Hall of Fame Industry Awards is the night of nights for members of the association . It is held to recognise individuals , businesses , and employees for their contribution to the industry .

Victoria is the heartland of the caravan industry , with 93 per cent of the 28,000-plus Australian-made RVs built in Victoria each year .

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

This year , Caravan Industry Victoria inducted the following five industry stalwarts into its Hall of Fame :

• Colin Tobin : Canterbury Caravans ;

• Peter Deralas : Royal Flair Caravans ;

• Frank Prosenik : Supreme and Leader Caravans ;

• Karl Prosenik : Supreme and Leader Caravans ; and

• Colin Parrot : Parable Productions / What ' s Up Downunder .

“ This year ’ s inductees typify what the Hall of Fame is about ,” Caravan Industry Victoria president Nat Schiavello said . “ With collectively 225 years of experience in the industry , they have worked hard to make the industry a better place than what is was when they joined it .”
