Jokes aside , this newlywed nomad trend looks set to continue , with Queensland holiday parks noting a 300 per cent increase in travellers aged 20 to 26 , and data indicating that 59 per cent of travellers in this demographic wanting to spend their honeymoon caravan-style .

Brisbane newlyweds James and Georgia Bulmer are just one couple who purchased a caravan in preparation of an extended vanbased honeymoon . After packing their new van , not to mention their two kids , Isabella and Ocean , they hit the road for their first stop : the Sunshine Coast .

Georgia said travelling full-time had always been a dream for the couple , and they decided their honeymoon was the perfect excuse to head off , with no fixed return date .
