IN MURTOA !

When we hit the road for another adventure , we don ’ t always know where we ’ re heading . What we are finding , however , is that we often come across something interesting in an Australian town .

One of the towns that we look back on with fond memories is Murtoa , a wheat district town in Victoria . The town is situated around Lake Marma on the Wimmera Highway .

Lake Marma is in the heart of Murtoa . The caravan park where we stayed , Murtoa Caravan Park , nests on the bank of the lake . The park is small but has the camping essentials of bathrooms , a kitchen , and laundry . If you ’ re planning to visit the town , we ’ d recommend booking ahead since there are limited spots .

Our favourite feature of the park is that you can just walk into town to visit the local attractions , and cafes , and meander through the streets and admire the elegant old homes .
