RV TRAVEL
While many of our friends headed to Bali or Europe to escape the Melbourne winter , we set out on our first couple ’ s road adventure . Anyone would think that winter in July 2023 would be an awful time to go but we spent three glorious weeks exploring the wonderful blue and sometimes rugged waters of the coast of Victoria and New South Wales in our ‘ Let ’ s Go ’ Jayco Atlas campervan .
One of the most rewarding parts of driving our campervan was the ability to load everything up and not have a plan , or a place to stay . All we knew was that we wanted to take ourselves into the unknown and drive north on the most eastern coastal roads of Victoria and New South Wales . Our Let ’ s Go campervan was equipped with a fridge , stove , shower , toilet and of course all our supplies . All we needed was a map , our espresso machine , Scrabble and our fishing rods .
THE PROM TO LAKES ENTRANCE
Our adventure started with a stop in Wilsons Promontory National Park , commonly known as Wilson Prom or The Prom . We did a short trek amongst the colourful rocks , white sandy beaches and abundant wildlife . As nightfall presented itself , we headed to the Sandy Point Holiday Park and parked our campervan , plugged ourselves in and drifted off to sleep .
