MAGICAL MALLACOOTA
Another benefit of our campervan was the ability to park almost anywhere . Our journey took us to small towns and eateries where we were able to pull up , park and support the locals . It was wonderful to see small business owners smiling and being so passionate about their culinary delights , often claiming prizes for the ‘ best ’ something .
We continued towards Mallacoota through scenic east Gippsland , stopping at Cape Conran and taking a walk in the McKenzie River Rainforest . Winter in Mallacoota was magical . The sun was out and so were our teeshirts . We trekked along pristine white , sandy beaches and up through Croajingolong National Park where we able to find basic but picturesque campgrounds .
From Mallacoota , we headed to Eden for a beachside lunch . Eden is the first town on the sparkling Sapphire Coast of New South Wales and a wonderful place to explore before continuing .
