RV TRAVEL
Our next stop was Batemans Bay and the heart of Australia ’ s Oyster coast . The Clyde River flows into Batemans Bay and is one of several Eurobodalla waterways that support a wide array of oyster production . We stayed three nights on the water ’ s edge so that we could pull up our chairs and enjoy a bottle of crisp chardonnay while eating local seafood .
On our final day there , we headed out to play golf at Club Catalina . You can play up to 27 holes on this incredibly green golf course adorned by lazing kangaroos . The club also has a beautiful modern golf club restaurant and bar with views of the greens .
With a little research , we thought we would head to a town called Huskisson . On the way we found a beautiful winery called Cupitt ’ s Estate , which is nestled amidst beautiful green hills in Ulladulla . The food , views and wines were magnificent .
HUSKISSON
Huskisson is part of the Shoalhaven region and is in the heart of Jervis Bay . This was one of our favourite towns in which to dine and relax . It was also whalewatching season so we took a twilight cruise out to see wonderful glimpses of migrating humpback whales and pods of playful dolphins . We stayed three nights at Jervis Bay Holiday Park and used this as our base to explore this wonderful town and its surrounds .
There are so many wonderful small towns in New South Wales but one that needs to be mentioned is Berry . It is a charming historical town with antique shops , wineries , incredible eateries and a village feel . Once we had explored this beautiful place we ventured along to our final northern destination of Kiama .
