Visiting Yarrawonga in winter offers a unique opportunity to indulge in one of the region ' s specialties , the Murray cray . This prized freshwater crayfish is known for its delicate flavour and is best enjoyed during the colder months . Casting our lines and nets into the Murray River , we relished in the anticipation of catching these delectable crustaceans , creating memories that will last a lifetime .
