RV TRAVEL
By dividing the fuel used in litres by the distance travelled in kilometres , and multiplying the answer by 100 , I had my fuel figure : 16.92L / 100km .
I had set out that day thinking that I would double the fuel usage when unhitched , and I was right . Now , 16.92L / 100km isn ’ t incredibly economical , but nor is it horrendously inefficient . It shows that with 2700kg worth of caravan attached to a vehicle , you have to expect significantly increased fuel consumption .
THE RESULT Fuel used : 39.85L Distance travelled : 235.5km Weight of van : 2700kg
Average fuel consumption : 16.92L / 100km 50 \
