For many years , Trakmaster has been one of Australia ’ s bestregarded offroad caravan brands . However , the company had changed hands a couple times , and when it was bought by Outback HQ , the same company behind the excellent Tvan and Topaz , we all wondered what was in store for this iconic brand . The display of the new Trakmaster Explorer gave us the answer .

With loads of dedicated storage space , a slide-out kitchen ( complete with electric induction cooktop ) designed and built inhouse , an impressive lithium and solar setup , the Trakmaster Explorer is laser-cut precision , inside and out . But that ’ s what we would expect from Outback HQ . Put it this way : the Explorer is not a cookie-cutter rig slapped together with some timber and aluminium . Rather , all components are designed to complement each other and to fit the available space down to the millimetre .
