RV FEATURE
The innovation continued on the inside . A king-size , foam , ergonomic bed filled out the rear of the van , above the cutaway . By foregoing traditional bedside wardrobes , instead providing ‘ his and hers ’ lockers on the nearside , not to mention lots of overhead lockers , Kokoda had created a functional space that allowed for a larger and more comfortable mattress .
Further , by omitting the traditional cooktop , griller and oven , instead providing an induction electric cooktop only , the kitchen felt more spacious than it otherwise might . The cooktop runs off the DCX inverter , backed by that massive battery capacity .
Our van was equipped with an optional Starlink internet system , while two bunks were fitted in the front of the van , though you could opt for three .
We have only scratched the surface on what this truly innovative van offered . I will , however , mention that the fit and finish was excellent .
SUMMING UP
The Kokoda Counter Strike F226 was one of the most appealing and fit-for-purpose vans that I had seen in some time . It made excellent use of technology and everything had a clearly defined purpose . Yes , it weighed nearly 3500kg at Tare but , that said , this caravan brought a great deal to the table . It ’ s not about bells and whistles with this van . It ’ s about a lifestyle .
