Well folks , that ’ s another year done and dusted . For a couple weeks , my foot is off the metaphorical accelerator . Where are you off to for the festive season ? As I write , I ’ m looking forward to a week at my usual spot , fishing during the day and drinking a beer or two around the fire in the evening .

This has always been my favourite time of year to hit the road . Granted , the van parks are always full and if you can get in somewhere , you ’ ll be paying Christmas rates , and let ’ s not forget the crowds you ’ ll encounter at the free camps – assuming you get in early enough to get a site .

But nonetheless , there ’ s a particular carefree nature to the festive season that I love , and the fact that the sun is out in Australia at this time year doesn ’ t hurt , either .

It ’ s also a great time to reflect on the year that ’ s been . In this issue , we look back on the vans that we ’ ve reviewed , nominating our seven favourites . Each of these vans has something to offer serious caravanners , whether you ’ re an offroad enthusiast or just like to hop from one van park to the next .
