RV FEATURE
Taking time to reflect on your past can truly spark joy and give a stronger meaning to relationships . For couples , there ’ s nothing like a romantic getaway to reconnect and enjoy all the magical ‘ kid free ’ moments . For my husband Jared and I , our love story began as teenagers when we were both swimmers in training for international success , and for us both to head down Memory Lane was truly a delight .
We all have trips where we take a minute ( or more ) on the holiday to sneak down Memory Lane . I remember taking my grandmother to Yamba , NSW , the town where she grew up , and finding a picture of her in her youth in the museum , a photograph from her childhood that she had never seen before . The tour of her Memory Lane is something I cherish now that she has passed .
Brooke ' s no stranger to TV . Here she is filming an episode of My Road to Adventure .
Memory Lane is a special place ...
MEMORIES …
During our recent trip to Victoria , Jared and I took a trip down our very own Memory Lane , through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne . We visited Warrandyte , Nunawading , Lilydale , Mt Dandenong , Sherbrooke and the Yarra Valley .
Following our midyear family trip to Cairns with our three kids , where we toured around for the first time in a six-berth Apollo motorhome , we eagerly jumped into the Windsor Flinders by Apollo , and it was definitely less crowded without our 14 , 10 and 8-year-olds . Just the two of us !
We spent a few days tripping around , visiting old haunts , date spots , catching up with friends , family and re-living some fond memories .
