2 . TRAILER WIRING SAVER
Here ’ s a good little mod . If your van has unwieldy cabling at the drawbar , why not wrap it in electrical conduit for protection from the elements and road debris ? Then , you could secure one end of an occy strap to a cable tie on the conduit , and the other to the steel of your gas cylinder holder or elsewhere . That will prevent the conduit-wrapped electrical cable from dragging on the road or snagging on something once the trailer plug has been plugged into the car .
3 . KEEPING COOL
Now , you may have already seen some caravans with shade cloth on the offside , which typically secures to a sail track that the owner or manufacturer has installed , and then the shade cloth is pegged out . The idea is to keep the fridge area inside the van a bit cooler in order to make the fridge work more efficiently .
But if you are going down this route , why not opt for a longer sail track and large shade cloth , which many vanners swear helps to keep the entire van cool , not just the fridge , when it ’ s particularly hot outside .

Why not make that offside shade cloth even bigger ?
