These end caps are a brilliant idea !
END CAPS AND A CLOTHESLINE
Lena and Glen Thompson of Mudgee , NSW , are the proud owners of a Hilltop Grampian , and it ’ s fair to say they have really made it their own .
The couple have added two 100mm PVC pipes in front of the rear bumper to carry things like fishing rods . However , they sourced special , strong end caps for each pipe . Each cap is hinged and lockable , making it so much easier to access what ’ s inside the pipe , and keeping it secure from would-be thieves .
Further , they ’ ve added a clothesline that ‘ telescopes ’ out of a piece of steel tubing that ’ s been secured by brackets to the rear bar , but could be moved to the A- frame or elsewhere as necessary . However , this position works well for the pair and does away with the need for a clumsy portable clothesline which , let ’ s face it , can be awkward to set-up and infuriating to pack away .
BIN IT !
Lena and Glen also travel with a ‘ Mini Otto ’ bin from Bunnings , which they tether and lock to the rear bumper . But did you know you could get an inexpensive device known as a Bin Kill , also from Bunnings , that will keep insects away from the rubbish ?
All you need to do is secure it somewhere inside the bin , perhaps with a zip tie , and insects will give your rubbish a wide berth . According to Lena , it works brilliantly and each Bin Kill will last for about six months .
The Bin Kill will keep insects away from your rubbish .
