FREEDOM CAMP OF THE MONTH
Bollon is one terrific town with a wonderful freedom camp , right on the water . This Queensland freedom camp is pet-friendly , and as it follows Wallam Creek there are loads of waterside sites .
Not far from the entrance , you ’ ll see the dump point . There are toilets right up the other end . Although there aren ’ t showers on site , you can walk to showers in the lovely park in town . What a great convenience for travellers . Make sure you have a wander here – there ’ s plenty of history here and even a heritage centre next door . Opposite , visit the cafe for the massive Bollon Burger , or pop into the pub or gallery .
Be sure to grab the Bollon Burger from the nearby cafe !
Back at the camp , you can take the 1.2km walking trail , take in the water views , or just enjoy all the birdlife .
