RV FEATURE
1 . LISTEN TO EXPERIENCE
Listen to what the experienced travellers say . Campfires and happy hours bring out a wealth of knowledge ; you will learn the secret camp spots , cheapest fuel and great eateries from the usual banter .
2 . MAINTENANCE AND PREPARATION
Maintenance is critical , both for yourself and your vehicles . Prior to leaving , we have our medical checks : doctor , optometrist and dentist . Take your prescriptions with you . Don ’ t forget to service your van and tow vehicle either . Depending on how far you travel each day , check around the combination every time you leave somewhere for things hanging off , a lower-than-usual tyre profile , and keep an eye on the general upkeep . Check that your hatches and windows are locked as you walk around .
Marg and Bruce Gow , the ' Baby Boomers on the Road ', have decades of vanning experience .
3 . THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
Try the road less travelled . We have travelled extensively and people quite often remark that we must have seen it all by now . Not at all , as there is still so much to see in this amazing country . The backroads and little towns have friendly people and are a great place to pull up for the night . Some of the best experiences are off the beaten track .
Never overlook your maintenance tasks .
