Always have something in the van to prepare a quick meal if off power . For a longer trip , preprepared frozen meals are very handy . Keeping a few trusted , easy recipes on standby enables you to prepare a quick meal from the cupboard .
Don ' t solely rely on GPS – always have a paper map backup .
9 . MAKING NEW FRIENDS
Be prepared to make new friends . Some people you meet along the way will just click with you and you will stay friends for a long time . These days it ’ s easy to keep in touch . Be open and friendly and team up for a drink or a local pub meal for a night of fun .
10 . GO WITH YOUR GUT
Go with your gut . If you arrive at a site you had planned to stay for the night and you don ’ t like the look of it or the people already there , trust your gut feelings and move on to the next place . That feeling will help to keep you safe , which is your priority .
