MDC has continued its expansion into the US market with the release of the XT19HRT Off-Grid Extreme Edition .
In fact , MDC founder and president , Vaughan Hindley , has hailed it as the company ’ s best US model yet .
“ After months of rigorous real-life testing in diverse environments , from Moab , Utah , to the harsh Australian Outback , the XT19HRT has emerged as a true overlanding marvel , genuinely proving itself in the most extreme conditions ,” MDC said .
The XT19HRT comes with 1225W of rooftop solar , paired with 800Ah of lithium battery capacity and 3000W of pure sine-wave inverter power , as standard .
To make the van suitable for American conditions , MDC gave it water tank heating pads , a water heater , toilet anti-freeze capability , insulated water lines , a wet bay with interior space heating , batteries with selfheating functionality , as well as dual-pane windows .
