The more I ’ ve heard about the sordid aftermath of the Tango collapse , the more disgusted I ’ ve felt . I ’ m not just talking about the obvious financial mismanagement that led to this debacle . I ’ m talking about the tales of bullying from members of the public – snarky , hurtful comments directed towards people who have lost so much . One such line of attack centres on the question , why would a person pay full price for a caravan that they hadn ’ t yet seen ?

It is classic victim-blaming stuff , when what ’ s called for are gentle words and acts of compassion . Kindness is free . Bullying exacts a toll , as if the people involved haven ’ t paid a high enough price already .

So can you imagine how ecstatic we were when some good news arrived for Sylwia Logan , the Tango victim we spoke to last month ? After watching our interview with Sylwia , the compassionate owners of Nova Caravans stepped up to the plate to help her and her family , and we hope to continue a conversation with the wider industry that involves other ways of getting some form of help to the people who have lost .
