Dog owners need to be especially vigilant . We were in Geraldton and I was walking our dogs around the park when two large dogs ran over and started harassing us . They were off-leash and behaving quite aggressively . To my amazement , the owner just stood there and did nothing to recall his dogs . And when I tried to push his dogs away , he went crook at me , telling me to leave his dogs alone .
If you ’ re a parent or a dog owner , you have to accept responsibility for them yourself . It ’ s as much about their safety as it is about the safety and rights of other guests .
When you walk through another site , you risk tripping over their power cords or hoses .
With driveways this narrow and cars parked so close to the kerb , you need to be aware of anyone trying to park in the site opposite to yours .
WALKING THROUGH OTHER SITES
We were in a caravan park in WA during a long weekend . Unbeknownst to us , we had a site surrounded by four other families who normally travel together and arrange to have sites together but , this year , we ended up in between them . This meant they were walking through our site every time they wanted to visit each other .
Now , I don ’ t normally get too concerned by people walking through our site . It ’ s one of those things that happens . But these guys did it all the time and they didn ’ t even try to not make a nuisance of themselves doing it . At one point , we were sitting inside the van when there was a loud bang , all the power went out and there was a cry of ‘ sorry ’ from outside .
