I went out to investigate what had happened . Someone had walked underneath our awning , between the car and the van , and tripped over the power cord going from our van to the fridge in the back of the car . Not only did this trip the power but it also ripped the power outlet from the side of the van . It wasn ’ t the first time we ’ ve had power cords ripped out because someone was walking through our site and tripped on the cord .
Look , I know sometimes it is very inconvenient having to walk around someone ’ s site just to go a short distance , but you have no idea what they may have out on their site that could be a trip hazard . Come on . Walking a few extra metres won ’ t hurt you .
At the end of the day , we all have to understand that caravan parks , as good and fun as they can be , are small areas where many people live close to each other . We can ’ t help but annoy others around us in some way . Sometimes it is unavoidable but , for the majority of these behaviours , a little bit of consideration for your fellow travellers is all it would take to avoid committing these sins .
As the good book says , “ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you .” An excellent mantra to live by .
You can meet the greatest people at caravan parks if you take the time to get to know each other .
