TRAVELS WITH KINGDEANO ADVENTURES
We are always looking for a new ‘ leafy ’ adventure , and we recently found another in the town of Warburton , Vic . We booked a powered site at the picturesque Warburton Holiday Park on the Yarra River for our stay . Visitors to this park could cycle into town or take the walking tracks from the park , including a great walking circuit that ’ ll take visitors from one end of the town to the other . An old suspension bridge provides a great spot for photo opportunities .
We started our morning by visiting the Warburton Bakery with intentions of getting a cheese and ham toastie with coffee , but as soon as we saw the pies , they became our choice of brunch instead . The pies were delicious and I could see why the bakery was one of Warburton ’ s popular spots .
After enjoying our pies , we walked the main street to check out the shops , including a vintage store and information centre , which at the time was exhibiting three local artists in a gallery space . If you visit the town , make sure you pop into the information centre for more ideas on local attractions .
After viewing the gallery and buying some dog treats for our cavoodle , Twyla , from the information centre , we walked back to our campervan , which was parked along the river . We then took a short drive to the local Rainforest Gallery , which you must see when in town .
