TANGO SUPPORT IDEA

What a tragedy for everyone caught up in the Tango fiasco . To not only lose your deposit but for some to lose their whole caravan is beyond comprehension .

There is a minority of people who blame these customers for being so gullible in paying for their vans before the actual handover . In my eyes , these customer are very honest and trusting people , and believed that the staff at Tango were the same .

I would like to make a suggestion that may be a solution in helping these people get back some of their money . As of January 2024 , there were 803,739 registered caravans in Australia ( data from Road Vehicles Australia ). As most owners would be couples , and / or families , this would equate to approximately 1.6 million people .

If every one of these people donated $ 2 to this fund , it would raise approximately $ 3.2 million , which would help cover most of the losses of the current unsecured creditors .

If we only got a 10 per cent response , this would still equate to $ 320,000 . But if every one of these responders donated $ 10 , we would have our $ 3.2 million . I ’ m sure there will be some caravan owners and small business owners who would chip in more than $ 10 .

I am willing to donate $ 200 to start off this campaign and it would be great to see other caravan owners do the same .
