LETTERS FROM THE ROAD

MUD STICKS
I read with disappointment and dismay that anyone would park across five disabled parking bays , whether with or without a caravan .
Mud sticks and it soon gets stuck on all caravanners , something so negative and usually unjust . The comments / question raised by Max Taylor with regards to available parking for caravans and tow vehicles in towns and especially a tourist town , who in a lot of cases rely heavily on visitor numbers , are problems that need to be addressed .
Adequate parking is a problem in many towns around our great country . I live in a northern Victorian town that is promoted as a tourist town and tourist destination , which has made no effort to allocate or make available parking for vans and tow vehicles .
PARKING SHAME
Not everyone is going to stay long-term – they just wish to shop and / or see something in particular on their way through . Like most problems , they only apply to a small section of any group or organisation , but the majority wear the bad publicity .

STARLINK MINI
It may be worth writing an article about Starlink Mini . The Mini has both a 240V and a 12V connection . I mounted it on a pole and connected it to one of the old cigarette lighter ports using an adapter , which is readily available almost anywhere .
It works well and only cost me the price of the extension pole and a USB adapter , totalling $ 35 plus the cost of the pole .
