I tell you what , there are some interesting things happening in the RV industry right now . I ’ ll give you an example . In the weeks leading up to the Victorian Supershow , I became privy to a revolution in the RV privy . For as long as toilets have been fitted to caravans , the most popular style has involved a cassette , a ‘ walk of shame ’ and the potential for splashback .

But a new Thetford product , known as the INDUS Waste Water System , is set to change all that . I don ’ t have the space here to describe how it works , but stay tuned : we ’ ll have a video very soon to share . But rest assured : should you decide to fit it to your next caravan , your days of dealing with toilet cassettes and all that goes along with them are over .

I highlight this system here because it represents one of the things I love most about Australia ’ s RV industry : the innovation . Whether we ’ re talking solar , batteries , storage … someone , somewhere , is working to improve it . But to be honest , until I saw this system , I had never considered how toilet hygiene , and RV toilets in general , could be improved . Turns out , it could be massively improved .
