TAKE THE GRAND TOUR !

Of all the big names in caravans that have come and gone over the years , none evokes childhood memories by the foreshore quite like the name Millard . In fact , it ’ s fair to say that this brand is synonymous with Australian caravanning . While ownership of the brand has changed hands a few times , did you know it has been operating for over 75 years ?

A few years ago , this New South Wales-based manufacturer began developing a new-look series of offroad caravans complete with rear cutaways , a higher ground clearance and heavy-duty chassis .

One such van is the 17ft 6in Millard Breakaway , which we hauled around our offroad course in late 2022 as part of production for our TV show , GoRV TV . Everyone has heard of Millard before – but when is the last time you checked one out for yourself ? They have come a long way , that is for certain .

CONSTRUCTION

This Millard Breakaway is built atop a 6in galvanised chassis with 4in raiser , with three-tonne independent suspension trailing arm coil suspension . The 16in alloy wheels are shod with all terrain tyres with 12in electric brakes .
