The van is built on a 6in chassis with 6in A-frame . Goldstream has opted to give this rig Cruisemaster XT offroad suspension . It ’ s an independent coil system with dual shock absorbers , and I ’ ve never had an issue with it – it ’ s top-end stuff .
The van also uses the venerable DO35 coupling – another good choice . Interestingly , Goldstream has given the 1760 Rhino a checkerplate storage box with slide-out tray but it doesn ’ t stretch the width of the A-frame , as you might expect . Instead , set to the nearside , next to the box , are a couple of 9kg gas cylinders . If I was to guess , I would say that this was necessitated by the length of the van , with Goldstream wanting to keep it below 18ft . Regardless , it works well , and it ’ s also protected by a straight mesh stoneguard .
